Have Your Say: proposed housing development in Braishfield (SURVEY FOR BRAISHFIELD RESIDENTS ONLY)
Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) has revised its Local Plan and will soon launch a public consultation. As part of the revised plan, a site in Braishfield has been allocated (proposed) for the development of 54 new houses.
To gather feedback from the Braishfield community, I am conducting a short survey for Braishfield residents only (a separate survey for Ampfield will follow). The results will be shared with TVBC’s planning policy officers and relevant councillors to ensure your voices are heard.
Please note: This survey is independent of TVBC’s official general public consultation, which will run from 27 June to 5 September. (I am keen to get a consultation started sooner than later!)
The image below shows the proposed development site. This is a significant local issue, and your input is vital. I want to ensure that TVBC fully understands the views of ALL Braishfield residents regarding this proposed site.
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and is online (paper copies will be made available soon). In line with GDPR regulations: no email addresses are collected. Responses will be held securely for three months after residency verification, then permanently deleted.
Please complete the survey by 19 July if possible.

PROPOSED SITE ALLOCATION:
Land West of Braishfield Road, Braishfield – adjacent to Hill View Road.
The site allocation is shown in orange. The red border is the boundary of the conservation area.
Proposal for 54 homes. Types of properties unknown.
As you may have noticed, the village website is receiving a bit of a spring clean. Work is still in progress, but if you have any comments or suggestions regarding the site, or if you are part of a Braishfield club or group that would like to be included on the website, please let us know.
On May 17th and 18th the Braishfield Ultimate Frisbee team competed in the Spring Showdown tournament at Wide Lane, Southampton finishing 6th.
An excellent effort against many university teams.
