Village Events Calendar
The aim is to provide a facility for organisations to choose a date and time for a village event to ensure it doesn't conflict with another village event. The opening rules are proposed as follows but can, of course, be modified should the need arise:

1. The calendar will be maintained by the BVA Secretary and all submissions are to be made through
2. All village-based groups, organisations and churches can use the calendar.
3. All qualifying organisations can provisionally "book" a day and time slot. The BVA Secretary will add the event to the diary and put a small (p) after the entry.
4. The initial provisional booking is valid for one month and after one month will be removed if not confirmed.
5. If the event requires a facility, e.g. the recreation ground, that should be stated. The facility will need to be booked by the event organiser.
6. An entry does not prevent any other organisation choosing the same day and time, but they do so in the knowledge that there may be a conflict.
7. It is only for village events that could conflict with another village event. Normal diary meetings will not be included. Special meetings like the Annual Parish Meeting, AGMs should be included.
8. It is not an advertising medium.
